The Brother SE1900 and SE2000 are sewing and embroidery combination machines, and Brother lists a 5 x 7 inch maximum embroidery area for both. The SE1900 is shown as discontinued; the SE2000 is its current counterpart. Rows below come from our embroidery machine database, each linked to the Brother page it was read from, and were rechecked on November 8, 2026.
Field size and included hoop
| Machine | Field as published | Field in mm | Hoop the maker says comes with it | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brother SE1900 (listed as discontinued) | 5" x 7" | about 127 x 177.8 (inches x 25.4; maker gives no mm) | not published on that page | Brother USA product page |
| Brother SE2000 | 5" x 7" | about 127 x 177.8 (inches x 25.4; maker gives no mm) | Embroidery frame set (large) | Brother USA product page |
Brother gives inches only, so the millimeter column is inches times 25.4, a nominal 127 x 177.8 mm. The SE2000 carton list reads “Embroidery frame set (large)” with no size. The SE1900 page we read does not describe the included hoop at all, so we leave it blank rather than guess. If you are buying a used SE1900, check which frames come with it.
Optional hoops Brother names
| Maker part | What the maker's page calls it | Source |
|---|---|---|
| SAMF180N | SAMF180N 4" x 7" Magnetic Frame | Brother product page |
The SE1900 lists the same single frame. Brother’s SAMF180N page says it is compatible with the PE800, PE900, SE1900, SE2000, NS1250E and NS2850D, and calls it a 4 x 7 inch magnetic frame while also saying “5 x 7 embroidery field”. That mismatch is Brother’s own wording. Check the exact usable area before you plan a design around it. Our magnetic hoop page shows it next to Brother’s other magnetic frames.
Brother’s 5 x 7 inch SA444 hoop page names several other 5 x 7 machines but not the SE1900 or SE2000. Treat that as a gap in the list, not a verdict, and confirm the part number before ordering a spare.
What this means for design size
A 5 x 7 inch field holds a 100 x 150 mm design upright with room to spare. It does not hold a 6 x 10 inch design; for that class look at Brother’s NQ-series machines in the full table . If you want the 4 x 4 inch machines instead, see the SE600 and SE700 .
